Privacy Policy
In short
- The Burstwell app does not collect any data. We receive nothing from you through the app.
- It has no account, no server of our own, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
- What the app saves stays on your iPhone, and is deleted when you delete the app.
- If you email us, we use your email only to reply to you.
Who we are
Burstwell is developed by Choko tech, a sole proprietorship (“we”, “us”). On the App Store, the developer’s registered name may be shown as the seller.
This policy applies to the Burstwell app for iPhone, and to emails you send us about it.
Data we collect
None through the app. Burstwell does not collect personal information or usage data, and does not send your information to us. Burstwell does not use:
- Accounts or sign-in
- A server of our own
- Advertising
- Analytics tools
- Tracking
We do not sell your information or share it with anyone.
If you have turned on Share With App Developers on your iPhone (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may give us crash data and app usage statistics in a form that does not identify you.
Data saved on your iPhone
To work, Burstwell saves the following on your iPhone only:
- Presets
- The state of a timer in progress, so it can continue where it left off
- History
- Settings
- Your Pro status: the last purchase status confirmed with the App Store, so Pro keeps working offline. This is not payment information.
This data is not sent to us. It is deleted when you delete Burstwell from your iPhone.
If you back up your iPhone (for example, with iCloud Backup or to a computer), this data may be included in that backup, as with other apps. We do not have access to your backups.
Notifications
Burstwell uses local notifications only. They are scheduled on your iPhone to tell you when an interval changes, for example when sounds are turned off.
Burstwell does not use push notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
Purchases
Purchases in Burstwell are made through the App Store’s in-app purchase system (StoreKit). Apple handles the payment. Your payment information is handled by Apple and is not sent to us.

When you email us
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and what you write. We use them only to reply to you. We keep them only as long as we need to reply. If you would like us to delete them, contact us at support@choko-tech.com and we will delete them.
Apple Health (planned)
This section applies if a future version of Burstwell offers saving to Apple Health (HealthKit). We will review this section when that feature is released.
- Only if you give permission, Burstwell will write workout records (“workout” is Apple Health’s term) to the Health app.
- Burstwell will not read data from Apple Health.
- Burstwell will not send Health data to us or to anyone else, and will not use it for advertising.
You can change this permission at any time in the Health app.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Data on your iPhone: it stays on your iPhone until you delete Burstwell. Deleting the app deletes it. We do not hold this data, so there is nothing for us to delete.
- Emails to us: we keep them only as long as we need to reply. To have them deleted, contact us at support@choko-tech.com.
- Turning off permissions: you can turn off notifications in the iPhone Settings app. If a future version offers Apple Health, you can turn off that permission in the Health app.
Children
Burstwell is not directed to children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date below.
